MAKING CONNECTIONS in KIWANIS
Our NE-IA District Governor, Marvel Dunaway, has challenged us this year to make connections with our clubs, our communities, and with ourselves.
Connecting....with our club to enhance not only our own Kiwanis experience, but also the experience of our fellow members. Times change and we are always looking for ways to have more meaningful meetings, and set goals that clearly define what we want to accomplish so all members can visualize the direction we are going.
Connecting....with the children we serve by doing a community analysis to find the areas of greatest need in our community. Membership growth is a concern, because we need to have enough hands and resources to meet those needs for service and be able to make a bigger difference in the lives of children.
Connecting....with ourselves and living healthier lifestyles. Childhood obesity has become a national problem, and we can lead by example as we find ways to promote changes that help children understand the importance of developing good eating and living habits.
So, start making some connections and discover a more fullfillling Kiwanis experience!
