KIWANIS CLUB OF LINCOLN CAPITAL CITY
SEPTEMBER 2026
KIWANIS FUN NIGHT
Our East High Key Club members have been busy this August—even before the start of the school year. On August 4, eight members volunteered at the Eastridge Fun Night at Taylor Park. Playing games and face painting were just some of the activities that evening. On August 12, eight members showcased Key Club at Freshman Day at East High. Officers held their first planning meeting August 17 with the first meeting for all members and potential members being held on August 24th. Over 50 students were present as they learned what Key Club is all about, were introduced to the officer and class rep team, and heard about upcoming service projects. They also played a game of spoons (with pencils) and the winner was awarded a package of donuts. Then, on August 25 seven members joined our Capital City Kiwanis game night meeting. The posted comment on our Key Club group chat was “everyone had so much fun”. And, I was told that they want to be invited to any future game or trivia nights.
